Afternoon tea has been a popular British tradition since the early nineteenth century. My love for afternoon teas may come as no surprise on the blog as I have indulged in unique afternoon teas on a route master in London, blogger afternoon teas at Lancaster Hotel to Newcastle afternoon tea on the Six. So when friends booked a weekend in Liverpool, of course, a girls afternoon tea in Liverpool was going to be on the cards in the city that gave birth to the mother of all boy bands. Of course, I am talking about The Beatles! If you are a fan of the Beatles then my next post is right up your alley as its all about London’s best Beatles tours, some of which include a day trip from London to Liverpool for the Beatles Tours.
Our weekend saw us reunite for a weekend in Liverpool starting with an afternoon tea before taking to explore a little bit of the city of foot. This was actually the first time I had explored more of the city since I finished a project months before this weekend trip. I used to travel by train from London to Liverpool on Monday mornings and work in Port Sunlight before taking the local train into the city for a stay at one of my favourite Group hotels that is Marriot. Marriot Hotel Liverpool sits right in the heart of the city centre and a short walk from the train station as well as many of Liverpool’s city attractions.

Where To Stay In Liverpool
Many of my stays in Liverpool were at the Marriott Hotel but there are so many hotels in Liverpool on offer in the city covering a varied budget. If you are heading to Liverpool as a group I would highly recommend checking out some of the student halls that are usually available for rent during the holidays as this means you can have separate rooms but share living area and kitchen with your group. This was the option we went for during this trip. In much the same way I recommended some of the affordable stays in London in my post on how to visit London on a budget.
