You can chill out with a coffee during the day, a glass of wine to usher in the evening as lights start to flicker on on the island.

Cool Santorini Cafes You Need To Check Out
Fancy a cool off from the Greek sun? Then head for gelatos at Angelato or Lolita’s Gelato in Kamari or Oia. If you have a sweet tooth then check out Anna’s Pastry shop in Pyrgos or Confetti Dessert Boutique in Imerovigli. Want to sit down and enjoy a little people watching with a coffee or cool drink then these cafes not only perfect for that but a little people watching as you enjoy the views.
Also, note that should you be visiting Santorini in winter, while some places might shut for winter, many of the cafes in Fira stay open in winter.
Palio Koureio

Here you can not only sample Santorini’s traditions dishes like lava, but you can add local wines like nyhteri and vinsanto all while enjoy amazing views of the Castle in Emporeio from the terrace cafe.
Brusco
This little gem is a Santorini traditional cafe-bar located within a square in Prygos where you can sample local wines on the veranda local greek beers and Santorini and Greek dishes. If you are looking for things to bring back from Santorini, you can purchase them from Brusco who stock plenty of local products to bring back home with you.
Enigma Cafe
This cozy little cafe is located within the Engima Hotel in the heart of Fira. You can chill out from morning till late night and in between conversations you can sample their breakfast and walk you way to to lunch, and cocktail hour or freshly made juices.
Irini Traditional Cafe
If you are looking for traditional cafes in Santorini then don’t miss out on Irini’s Traditional Cafe. Their veranda overlooks Fird’s famous caldera when you can have a perfect view to go with a mouth-watering breakfast.
In the afternoon you can stop by for ouzo and traditional Greek dishes and as the evening draws in, cool cocktails while Santorini’s lights across the island start to flicker on.
Franco’s Cafe
Like Anna’s Pastry Shop, you can also find Franco’s Cafe in Pyrgos. Located at top of the castle in Pyrgos village with amazing views of Santorini. They offer coffees, juices, light snacks and the evening you can enjoy music accompanied by cocktails.
Ouzo Taverna Penelope
Want to mingle with a local feel to your cafe hunting? Then it has to be Ouzo Taverna Penelope located in Pyrgos. Serving coffees, desserts and cold beers with a cosy home ambiance to the experience. Another cafe near the Pyrgos cafe.
Aegle
Located in the heart of Fira near the Metropolitan Church and a stone’s through from the caldera. Cutely decorated, you can chill out on the colourful couches of cafe Aegle and enjoy a hearty breakfast with a coffee or delicious sandwiches, salads and top it off with some ice cream for lunch as the Greek sunshine reaches its peak. Aegle is the perfect place to relax and take a breather in Fira’s hustle and bustle.
Altana Traditional Cafe
Located in Imerovigli within Altana Hotel, a traditional cafe in look and feel. If you are looking to taste delicious homemade dishes this is the places to go. They serve up great tasting food and desserts to match the stunning views.
Classico Cafe
Stroll through Fira and stop by Classico Cafe to sample their cafes and restaurant delights. They offer amazing coffee, snacks, lunches and dinner inspired by Mediterranean cuisine all with an amazing view of the Aegean Sea. The spot for that well sought after Santorini sunset and relaxing spot after a hard day’s exploring and sun worshiping on the beaches.
To Panameritaki Ourania
A typically traditional cafe in Santorini located near the bus terminal. Run by Mrs Ourania who makes fresh breakfasts and fruit marmalade to go with your toast. A great spot to check out for a local experience.
Cafe Galini
The famous Cafe Galini is located in Firastefani. A cozy cafe that is a well- known fixture of this cool neighbourhood in Santorini. Galini serves among the best breakfast in Santorini, traditional desserts and of course ice cream for the heat calls for nothing else.
Like many cafes in Santorini, this one also turns into somewhat of a bar in the evening. You can enjoy great cocktails in the evening as the sun disappears into the Aegean Sea.
Volcan On The Rocks By Egon
Fira is very much the centre of everything in Santorini and where you will find another one of Santorini’s cool cafes. Volcan On The Rocks is run by Ergon Company, who operates this well-known cafe on the island. Its located in front of Nomikos Conference Centre, they stock an amazing list of local and global wine brands, beers and delicious foods you get to enjoy with stunning views over the caldera.
