Lisbon’s vintage shopping spots are easy to find even if you’re here on a short city break. I love to mix travel with a little retail therapy. You can see the top sights in the morning then while away your afternoon exploring the nooks and crannies of the vintage stores and markets in the city of Lisbon.
Head to the Alfama and Baixa-Chiado districts, just back from the main Praça do Comercio square, and combine combing the streets of the older districts with taking in the atmosphere at hip local cafes.
The following are some of the best spots to turn up a cool vintage find while you’re in Lisbon. Choosing environmentally friendly and unique fashion over disposable fast fashion is simple in Lisbon as there are so many cool places to shop vintage.

The Best Vintage Stores In Lisbon
Below are some of the best vintage shops in Lisbon, whether you are looking for second clothes in Lisbon or the coolest vintage decor to bring back from Lisbon. Shopping in Lisbon was such a delight, below are some of my favourite places I wouldn’t mind returning to time and time again.
I have shared a post on how to get around Lisbon in addition to putting the metro stations near the shops below to help you navigate to the thrift shops.
Ás de Espadas
Along a winding street called Calçada do Carmo, behind Rossio square, you’ll hit vintage gold. First, Ás de Espadas or Ace of Spades, is a vast, gorgeous shop with a theatrical air. It is an eccentric mix of theatre dressing room and your grandmother’s attic.
This is one of the coolest shops in Lisbon for vintage. You have to get in amongst it to root out the real gems amongst fashion dating from the 1920s to the 1980s. The joy is in rummaging through the rails to discover luxury vintage, in Ás de Espadas, you’ll find big-name labels, with price labels to match. There are actually two shops, one selling women’s clothes and accessories and another with the men’s selection.
These shops aren’t flea-market cheap, but you will find quality, well-made vintage items.
Nearest Metro: Baixa-Chiado
Retro City Lisboa
Looking for cool second hand shops in Lisbon? Retro City is THE place to go for vintage jeans and awesome original leather jackets. The shop specialises in beautiful imported kimonos, which draw customers from all over the world. Retro City isn’t fast fashion; it’s a place to pick up a gorgeous piece which you’ll treasure for years to come.
Prices are very reasonable at Retro City, and if you follow them on Instagram or Facebook, you’ll get advance notice of the sales that they regularly hold.

Electric Tiger Vintage Shop
The awesomely named Electric Tiger is in Chiado, again nice and close to the action. This shop fully embraces the hippy vibe by not even opening its doors before 1 pm, that’s ok though, you can sightsee in the morning.
Collectors adore this fabulous shop because of the selection of vintage pieces that have clearly been carefully selected. This shop is fashion-forward vintage in terms of having a carefully curated collection of labels.
Nearest Metro: Baixa-Chiado
A Outra Face da Lua in Lisbon
A Outra Face da Lua (The Other Side of the Moon), isn’t just a thrift shop, it’s a shopping experience! Go in and grab a coffee before you weigh in on the action. The clothes are displayed around the edge of the shop so you can recce from the cafe in the centre, then hit the ground running. Whether you’re drawn to the Pucci-esque patterns or you fancy something a little more low key, you’ll almost certainly find it here.
Have a browse around this Lisbon institution, which is arranged not by designer or era but by colour, so that you can put together amazing vintage outfits with ease. The selection of clothes is huge, and the range of accessories is enormous too.
This isn’t cheap vintage, it is value for money, though. It’s well-curated, lovingly cared for, high-quality pre-loved fashion in a destination shop.

Pop Closet
Pop Closet in Chiado has a fabulous selection of vintage labels to browse. Flick through rails hung with classic pre-loved Chanel and Fendi, amongst others. The owners are committed to sustainable fashion, and you can sell and trade quality vintage clothes here too.
Again, you get what you pay for at Pop Closet, it’s not cheap vintage, but it is well-curated, and the staff will try and source particular pieces or labels for you upon request.

Tropical Bairro
Perched on the edge of the Alfama district Tropical Bairro is so much fun! A record shop combined with a vintage clothing shop gives it the air of the true old-fashioned emporium. The staff are always happy to give you a hand if you’re searching for something in particular and you can while away an hour here checking out the vinyl selection and the clothes and accessories.
Nearest Metro: Martim Moniz
Cantinho do Vintage
Among the best second-hand shops in Lisbon. This Aladdin’s cave of vintage home decor treasures lies a little outside Lisbon’s main tourist areas. You can easily hop on the metro, though, and if you’re a fan of antique or custom made furniture, you shouldn’t miss Cantinho do Vintage.
The shop houses an eclectic mix of styles, from urban to rustic. There is a great collection of vintage industrial pieces, and you’ll stumble across antique sports equipment, shop fittings, and neon signs.
You can have large items shipped or browse for something small enough to fit in your luggage, such as the print block letters.
Nearest Metro: Marvila
Feira da Ladra
When you think of vintage in Lisbon, it’s the Thieves Market that springs to mind. This is not an experience for those who are faint of heart! The market is extensive, and clothes are not so much displayed as piled on tables for you to rummage through.
You need to spend enough time here to really get hands-on at the stalls and search out the hidden treasures. This is a fun way to spend a couple of hours on a Tuesday and Saturday, and you might turn up something fabulous in your search. The market is super affordable and fun.

Anjos 70 Market
Anjos70 is a great event venue that used to be a glass factory and is now an independent non-profit cultural centre. It has a varied calendar of events and parties every month and it’s well worth checking out the website to see what’s on when you’re in Lisbon.
Anjos70 is such a cool place to shop for vintage and modern items from Portuguese start-ups, there are permanent shops, co-work space and a kitchen for independent chefs, and a market to explore.
The Art and Flea Market is held on the first weekend of each month and has over 100 stall-holders over two-stories in the indoor marketplace.
