2. SEE THE BIG BUDDHA

There is no doubt that this iconic and magnificent work of art is the most visited place and the most famous structure in the city of Phuket, aside from its many beaches. The big Buddha statue is huge and gigantic, as it over look Phuket.

It’s a great place for couples to take advantage of the panoramic view and the lovely scenery and take those beautiful and memorable pictures, with the statue in the background. The huge statue is 25 meters wide and stands at 45 meters tall, it is highly adorned with a Burmese jade marble work. There is a little Buddhist monastery beside the statue, take your partner in and offer a little prayer. 3. TRIP TO PHANG NGA BAY;

Also famously called the James Bond island, this island off Phuket is a major tourist attraction and it was further made famous when James bond came to act some 007 movie scenes there (the man with the golden gun). Hang Nga Bay is a wonder of nature to say the least, it sure promises to be a thrilling sight for you and your spouse. Lots of tourist swarm to the bay to feast their gaze on the rocky mountain, standing upside down in the middle of the water. With its sharp narrow end inside the water, as if the rock is upside down. The atmosphere around the bay is electrifying, shake off the cold with a warm embrace from your lover, as you join other visitors to marvel at the wonder of mother-nature.

The best way to get up close to Phang Nga Bay is to book a boat tour from the ferry points in Phuket, or you take the faster option, the speed boat cruise.

4. TAKE A TRIP TO WAT CHALONG TEMPLE

This historically relevant temple has been and still is one of the oldest and notable tourist attractions in Phuket. Start your tour of the temple at Poh Jao Wat which houses two statue of elderly Thai men, one is  Ta Khee-Lek and the other is Nonsi.

Most important site to be in the temple is the grand pagoda, which is said to contain a small pieces of the bone of Lord Buddha. The pagoda is extremely beautiful and well decorated with scenes of buddha’s life.  every couple should visit this temple to stay in touch with the history of the people of Thailand and their connection with Buddhism.  

5. ROMANTIC LUXURY DINNER AT SURIN BEACH

When it comes to romantic Phuket activities for couples, you cannot miss out on this dinner. Commonly known as ‘Millionaires Row’ Surin Beach is surrounded by houses for the rich and famous as well as luxury resorts. One look at the beach and you can see why the place is so popular with both the Thai’s and foreigners.

Eating out in this part of the island is expensive and the majority of restaurants overlooking the beach serve high-end cuisine, there are also a lot of trendy wine bars to choose from. 10. PHUKET WEEKEND NIGHT MARKET

Phuket has traditionally being a trading town where Merchant goes to rest in after a long journey trading. The weekend night market at Phuket has sustained that traditional night market culture, which has attracted thousands of tourists to its doors. It is one of the most exciting places for couples in phuket.

The market is located at Phuket old town, and the locals refer to the market as “boot car sale” or “Talad Tairot”. Virtually all you want to buy is available in the market. The market is also famous for selling imitation goods and used good items.

11. LEARN SOME THAI COOKING (THE BOATHOUSE or BLUE ELEPHANT)

Nightlife in Phuket is well known to be a busy party time for couples and lovers to come have fun. The island is a famous party destination in the whole of Thailand. There is a major street in Phuket full of clubs and bar that operate all night. The name of the street is Bangla Road in the Patong area, this is where the parting starts and ends in Phuket.

While on the street, get ready to party with your lover by your side, as loud music is played all night long for you to dance to. There are also plenty live ban to play lovely romantic music for you and your special one. Therefore hold tight to each other and move to the rhythm from the live band. It’s a romantic, fun-filled night that no couple in Phuket should miss.

14. KAYAK EXPEDITION

The other common stop on day trips is a kayak trip inside some of the caves. If you are going on this tour, kindly make sure you are well prepared for it, bring along your towel, sunscreen, a hat and maybe your sunglass to avoid unnecessary sunburn.

There are over 30 beautiful beaches in Phuket to choose from. Below are a few that are loved by couples.

• Tri Trang Beach – a short distance from Patong, perfect for mellow and chilled out water activities such as windsurfing.
• Banana Beach – known for its tranquil setting and a great beach to chill out and enjoy the weather and of course photo opportunities. Not recommended for swimming(May and November).
• Panwa Beach (or Khao Kad Beach) –  is a tranquil stretch of sand that attracts those who like peace and quiet.
• Yae Beach in Phuket  – this is another secluded enough to be quiet on any given day.
